The new CTS autos, such as the hot new CTS-V coupe, have rolled out to dealerships all over.  They offer Cadillac fans the chance to own one of the sportiest and highest performing autos ever made by the automaker.  The V-series is going to get much more exciting!

Special Edition Model

Most special edition models offer features that set it apart from other models in that lineup and the Black Diamond edition of the CTS-V is no exception to this.  Currently, the Chicago CTS cars found at Patrick Cadillac can be purchased in sedan, coupe and wagon versions.  The same will hold true for the Black Diamond edition.

The biggest standout feature found on the Black Diamond is the paint color.  It offers something extra versus a straight one-color paint job.  The black color will be further enhanced by a special process that gives the illusion of diamonds sparkling in different light angles.  This will be achieved by aluminum flakes covered by magnesium fluoride, which is a substance that mimics glass.  This is awesome!  You probably have a mental picture in your head right now of how head-turning this model will be once it hits the streets! 

Other Highlights

If you can get past the fabulous paint job on the exterior, we’d like to fill you in on some of the other standout amenities found on the Black Diamond models.  First off, you’ll find 19 inch tires that are a very theme-fitting satin graphite.  Inside the tires are Brembo brake calipers, colored yellow, which give the coupe, wagon, or sedan the power to stop quickly and effectively.

Sit in the driver or passenger seats and you’ll find rich leather seating, as found in other models, such as a used Escalade Chicago suburban SUV drivers can find out about today at Patrick Cadillac.  The Black Diamond upholstery also adds some stitching for effect and soft suede inserted into the seating.  There is also a very rich and high-quality wood trim with the name of “Midnight Sapele” that fits in well with the interior design and Black Diamond theme.

This renowned actor was featured in some Cadillac ads that ran during the Rose Bowl game on New Years Day and will also be featured in some ad spots that will run on Super Bowl Sunday, which is a great chance for a company to showcase its products, as this big game gets millions of viewers each year.  Cadillac is exciting to be working with Laurence Fishburne, as well as launching a new campaign of advertisements to showcase some of their great models, which are currently part of the inventory at a Cadillac dealer in Chicago, Patrick Cadillac.

2011 CTS models

The 2011 CTS-V coupe is available and there is plenty to say about this car.  It’s powerful, sporty, luxurious, and fun to drive- perhaps this is enough to gain your interest?

Compared to other Cadillac models found at your favorite Chicago used Cadillac dealership, the design of the CTS-V screams performance-enhanced vehicle.  A few features on the auto are a very large air vent placed under the front grille and extra large brake calipers that all signify a vehicle that flies when you get behind the wheel.  The CTS-V also sits lower to the ground, has wider tires, and a power dome hood that make it’s design sportier versus other Cadillac models we see today.

The IIHS is a revered institution within the automotive world.  Each year they conduct safety tests on thousands of cars, trucks, SUV’s, and more to make sure you are getting the safest auto possible, or at least the most honest information, even if your auto wasn’t tested to be one of the safest!  Lucky for the 2011 Cadillac CTS owner, IIHS awarded this model a top safety pick badge. 

The IIHS is conducting four-part safety tests on new autos, now that they’ve added a roof-strength safety test to the roster.  A sturdy and well manufactured roof is vital in keeping you safe, should your CTS or other model, such as the Chicago SRX, become involved in a roll-over accident.  Let’s hope you’re never unfortunate enough to go through that!  The 2011 CTS scored the highest rating of “good” for the roof strength test, which is music to Cadillac’s ears.

There are many other safety features found in the 2011 CTS that will lessen your on the road worrying.  Choose a CTS premium coupe, for example, and it will come with overhead, dual front impact, occupant sensing, and dual front side impact airbags.  Plenty of airbag action to hopefully keep accident-related injures at a minimum.  It also comes standard with brake assist and an ABS brake system to help your car stop easily in the case of a car that turns in front of you without warning or other close call.  The lifesaving Electronic Stability Control system is also available on your 2011 CTS coupe.  As you can see, Cadillac installs plenty of features that keep you safe so you can focus on an enjoyable drive.

People might still be gun-shy to spend a lot of money these days, but lucky for Cadillac, July sales are an indication that auto buyers are willing to put their hard earned money toward a quality product. In Chicago, Cadillac models sold in July 2010 doubled the amount that went off lots in July 2009. This is due to the high performing models that GM works hard to produce, like the Chicago CTS.

According to reports, new models are doing very well. The revamped SRX crossover did awesome in July, selling nines times the amount of last July. The SRX comes in a base, Luxury, and Premium model, each offering luxury features, depending on your needs. Right now, all three trims come with a 3.0 liter V6 engine and a tough to beat warranty program. Basic warranty is good for 48 mos/50,000 miles, powertrain for 60 months/100,000 miles, and much more!

Other features of an SRX include pedal and seat placement memory, telescoping steering wheel, and an emergency communication system. These will make traveling in your SRX more convenient. Moreover, this crossover comes standard with important safety features such as brake assist, electronic stability, traction control, and high quality ABS brakes.

If you are not interested in a crossover, many other models may pique your interest.  Consider the Chicago CTS.  You can make the choice between the CTS AWD, coupe, and sedan.  Choose the coupe if you want something a bit sportier, the sedan if your vehicle of choice is a more traditional model.  All have the attractive, luxurious styling that new Cadillac models are featuring.

The CTS AWD Premium collection is the ultimate in sedan driving.  It features many great features such as a six-speed automatic transmission and 18 inch premium tire package.  You’ll also get a phone interface featuring Bluetooth, navigation system with voice prompt and screen, and heated/ventilated driver and front passenger seating.  Keep in mind those cold, Chicago winters will unfortunately be here before we know it.  Heated seats make it a bit more tolerable.
