Cadillac models are luxurious and stylish, there is no disputing this. That’s why they’ve been popular for so many years. What’s been changing for Cadillac is the focus on creating sportier options that cater to many different generations. We often associate a “Caddy” with the old school models your grandfather proudly cruised around in. Several Cadillac models are in the works and are proving to be great choices if you are shopping around for a new auto!

Take, for example, the 2011 Chicago CTS coupe. It is currently on the lot at your local dealer and it’s hot! This is the first coupe to be sold since the Deville said bye-bye back in 1993. That’s 17 years ago and it’s about time we see something new! The 2011 CTS coupe will start out with a 3.6 L V6 engine that delivers 304 horsepower. Down the road, the car maker will install the coupe with same engine currently found in the CTS-V. That being a supercharged 6.2 liter V8. Now that’s some serious power. I think, however, that the current option will be enough to satisfy the driver who craves speed and sport behind the wheel…at least in the meantime!!

Like most car companies out there, Cadillac has a long list of Options that you can purchase to make driving the Chicago CTS coupe that much more exciting. If you take just the standard features, you’ll find that there’s a lot already in there. The seats are made with quality leather as well as a leather steering wheel and shift knob. To accent this, the door panel, wood dashboard insert, and console insert are all made of genuine wood. Cadillac works hard to make the cabin of their cars very luxurious.

In addition, the CTS-V sport wagon will debut at your Chicago Cadillac dealer later this year. This is a great option if you want to transport your family and/or belongings in style! It’s been refreshed for the 2011 car year. The roof is longer and it will come with the same engine that is found in the CTS-V sedan: a 556 HP that is sure to leave the kiddos wide-eyed in the backseat! It was unveiled at the 2010 New York Auto Show and was a big hit.

Cadillacs just keep getting better. Find your nearest Chicago Cadillac dealer and check out all the great models it has to offer!

If you’re a Chicago CTS driver, then you’ll be thrilled to find out that a new wagon is one its way. The CTS-V Sport Wagon is set to go into production later this year, thus becoming a 2011 model at your Chicago Cadillac dealer, Patrick Cadillac! Let’s find out what it will offer a lucky owner.

Many of the amenities found on the current CTS-V Sedan will make its way into the Sport Wagon. The engine, which is a 556-hp, 6.2-liter supercharged V-8, will make for one fast wagon. Imagine the power behind that, certainly able to get your kids to practice on time, even when running a few minutes late!

The Chicago CTS Sport Wagon will also come in the option of a manual or automatic transmission. I prefer the manual, for what it’s worth. The wagon will also have Brembo brakes, state of the art shocks, and 19-inch wheels made with high quality Michelin rubber. This is definitely a wagon I wouldn’t mind having parked in my driveway!

Inside the wagon, you are likely to find many features found in the 2010 Chicago CTS Sedan. If you like a luxurious interior, you are in luck. The Sport Wagon will get leather and suede seats that are very comfy. Leather accents find their way into the dashboard, door, and steering wheel. If you want to upgrade, you’ll be able to enjoy a sunroof. Nothing better than some sun and fresh air on a warm spring day!

Some other features that will make this a great ride is the Bose stereo system with ample speakers and XM Satellite Radio: a fun feature to help tune into your favorite music, sports and talk stations! The Sport Wagon, soon to arrive at your Chicago Cadillac dealer, will also get Dual Zone climate control, helping make the drive comfortable for everyone!

The Sport Wagon won’t be around forever, as Cadillac is terming it a “limited availability vehicle”. Let’s hope it sticks around long enough for you to take a test drive and hopefully a make purchase! In the meantime, if you’re not someone in need of so much power, you can test drive the CTS Wagon Luxury edition at Patrick Cadillac now.

There is some great news for current and potential owners of the Chicago SRX. This Cadillac model was recently named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Not just any car or SUV can be receive this accomplishment. The institute does side and rear tests and the vehicle must also have an electronic stability control. After testing these areas, the institute rates the vehicles, and those who are on the highest rating of “Good” are given the Safety Pick award. As a parent of a small child, I have a great interest in vehicles that safely transport my family from Point A to Point B, especially in the approaching winter months!

What are some of the safety features on this SRX and other Used Cadillac Chicago SRX’s? First of all, the vehicle has excellent brakes. Perfect in a situation where you might be transporting children to soccer practice and the car in front of you decides to break and turn without using turning indicators! Moreover, this Chicago SRX has improved all-wheel drive, helping it keep constant contact with the road. A feature that is very important during that rush-hour drive home in the snow!

The vehicle also boasts plenty of airbag positioning to keep driver and passengers safe in the event of an accident. Aside from the standard driver and front passenger airbags, there are also a front side airbags and side head curtain airbags. Also, if you visit your local Chicago Cadillac Dealer and purchase this great SUV, it will also come with a one year subscription of On Star, a great safety feature. The SRX also has a feature that allows for vehicle theft tracking and notification.

This 2010 Chicago SRX model is obviously a very safe vehicle and is a great choice for transporting a group of 5. There is plenty of room for storing everything from suitcases to skateboards!! Anyone who visits their Chicago Cadillac Dealer for a test drive will certainly not be disappointed!

After unveiling the new Cadillac Converj Concept vehicle at last year’s North American International Auto Show, the idea of a sporty, electric-hybrid vehicle addition to the Cadillac line-up seemed more of fairy tale. But with the new Chevy Volt already scheduled to make its way to showroom floors late next year, the new revolutionary electric propulsion Voltec technology will see its debut and possibly spark the next generation of GM electric-hybrid vehicles for Chicago Cadillac showrooms, assuming reception goes swimmingly.

According to Business Week however, the Converj Concept was shot down last spring because of internal differences between the reigning higher-ups at GM. Since then the personnel has changed and the idea is gaining traction again. The idea of incorporating this revolutionary Voltec technology into the Cadillac “no compromises” design. The Converj will offer a sporty look similar to that of a Lamborghini while still retaining the signature design features of a Cadillac. An all-glass roof incorporates solar panels that pump some extra juice to the vehicle’s accessories. The vehicle also incorporates sharper vertical headlamp and taillamp components for a noticeably edgier design.

The interior of the vehicle is miles away from the Chicago CTS interior, but still somehow retains the Cadillac look and feel. The blue-lit console graphics give the interior a sleek, updated look that would make any car enthusiast druel. Add in a state-of-the-art touch-screen navigation, climate, center-stack and audio control center and this care will become your second home. But don’t expect the new Converj anytime soon. If (and it’s still an if) the car is approved for production, it won’t make its way to your Chicago Cadillac Dealer until at least 2014. So for now you’ll just have to keep drooling at the pictures and the many promises of the Converj. But a little hype isn’t such a bad thing. Right?

Let me be the first to say, that I have never been excited about filling out surveys. I have never really been interested in them (unless a prize was guaranteed at the end). However, for everyone out there that is better about it than I am, and went to their Chicago Cadillac dealer to fill out their Auto Pacific Vehicle Satisfaction surveys, I’m sure that Cadillac thanks you. Cadillac has always had a very loyal customer base. Now, for the second year in a row, Cadillac has been bestowed the honor of Auto Pacific’s Highest Satisfaction Brand Award.

The Auto Pacific award surveys people who have recently bought or leased new cars and asks them about their experiences in 48 different categories. Car owners ranked vehicles according to their buying experiences and their first few months in dealing with their dealerships, along with their overall satisfaction with the car they purchased. Cadillac ranked highest overall, and the Cadillac Escalade took top honors in the luxury sport utility vehicle category.

Any Chicago Cadillac dealer can tell you though, that this victory was an even bigger deal in the midst of the heat that General Motors is taking and the industry is taking as a whole. Dealers have said that people were more weary this year when purchasing, leading to different criteria in their purchases and what they expected of their cars. Cadillac just seemed to come through in the clutch and gave their customers what they were looking for. Again.

The award is no surprise to me. I’ve never met a Cadillac owner who didn’t love her ride.
