Special Edition Model

Most special edition models offer features that set it apart from other models in that lineup and the Black Diamond edition of the CTS-V is no exception to this.  Currently, the Chicago CTS cars found at Patrick Cadillac can be purchased in sedan, coupe and wagon versions.  The same will hold true for the Black Diamond edition.

The biggest standout feature found on the Black Diamond is the paint color.  It offers something extra versus a straight one-color paint job.  The black color will be further enhanced by a special process that gives the illusion of diamonds sparkling in different light angles.  This will be achieved by aluminum flakes covered by magnesium fluoride, which is a substance that mimics glass.  This is awesome!  You probably have a mental picture in your head right now of how head-turning this model will be once it hits the streets! 

Other Highlights

If you can get past the fabulous paint job on the exterior, we’d like to fill you in on some of the other standout amenities found on the Black Diamond models.  First off, you’ll find 19 inch tires that are a very theme-fitting satin graphite.  Inside the tires are Brembo brake calipers, colored yellow, which give the coupe, wagon, or sedan the power to stop quickly and effectively.

The 2011 CTS-V coupe is available and there is plenty to say about this car.  It’s powerful, sporty, luxurious, and fun to drive- perhaps this is enough to gain your interest?

A new Cadillac CTS is going on the market as a 2011 model, that being the CTS coupe.  The car maker has put the ordering guides online, allowing an interested customer to play around with different package options.  The CTS Coupe is scheduled to arrive at your Chicago Escalade dealership this spring, and the CTS-V Coupe will follow this summer.  It is one great car!

The 2011 coupe is going to be available in a sport sedan and a sport wagon and will be available in 2 door versions.  These Chicago CTS cars most certainly have a sporty, attractive exterior.  Compared to the current CTS sedan, the 2011 model will be 2 inches shorter.  I also love how the sport sedan does not have the traditional door handles, but rather door opening ability that blends in with the body.  The hood also slopes down elegantly into the back window to create a good flow.

The coupe comes with a powerful engine.  It gives 304 Horsepower and comes as a V6, 3.6 Liter.  You can get it in a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.  The CTS-V that comes out in the summer packs even more punch behind the wheel.  It features a V8, 6.2 Liter engine, that gives 556 horsepower!  I would love to take both models for a test drive when they arrive at my Chicago Escalade dealership!

Moving to the cabin of the coupe, Cadillac has done a great job providing it’s customers with quality and beauty.  Accents that are sewn by hand can be found on the center console, the door, and on the instrument panel trim.  The Recaro seats that can be adjusted 14 different ways also come on the 2011 Chicago CTS cars.  Now, everyone can be super comfortable while cruising around in their new coupe!

Cadillac has also provides the new coupes with many modern technologies that people come to rely on today.  You can find Bluetooth connectivity, and Ipod, MP3 integrated capability.  Very nice.  Some other great features include a pop-up navigation system, Rear Camera system, and a Bose stereo system.

Cadillac is certainly doing something right with the Chicago CTS cars.   The CTS and CTS-V, for the third year in a row, have been named to Car and Driver’s 10 Best List.  Considering all the different makes and models you find on the roads today, this is a great accomplishment.

What is it about the Chicago CTS that makes it such a nice auto to own?  There are many interior and exterior components that make the CTS one of the best in it’s class.   It has a roomy back seat.  This is good because your guests will be comfy, but maybe a disadvantage if your pals want you to be the one to drive everywhere!!  The materials used to make the interior are very high quality.  You’ll also find many modern conveniences such as a navigation system, Bluetooth capability, and LED lighting.

The Chicago CTS cars come with powerful V6 engines that allow the driver to commute conservatively or drive with a little more gusto on the open roads.  The base v6 engine give 263 HP and 253 pound-feet of torque.  The next one up, offers 304 HP and 273 pound-feet of torque.  Very good for a mid size luxury sedan.  Furthermore, the Chicago CTS has really good handling, thanks to a four-wheel independent suspension.

Overall, this Cadillac model is a very reliable car, based on it’s performance over the past few years.  These Chicago CTS cars come with a 4 year, 50,000 mile basic warranty.  Even better is the powertrain warranty that lasts for 5 years, or 100,000 miles, including roadside assistance.  This is very important for most drivers, as it’s an added bonus, helping justify the cost of this and any automotive.

The Chicago CTS is also a very safe car to drive.  GM has the OnStar Communication system that most of us have seen on their advertisements.  In fact, in 2009 the CTS was a “Top Safety Pick” based on government crash and safety tests!

The wagon is a good vehicle if you are looking for something that drives like a sedan, you like the crossover concept, but might not want the traditional SUV.  This wagon has plenty of cargo space.  It also comes with a roof rack with adjustable bars for transporting a kayak, bikes, or whatever you might need for a long trip.  The good thing is that the rack does not stand out and make the wagon look tacky.  Plenty of cargo and transporting space makes me want to check it out at my Cadillac dealer Chicago.

The design of this wagon is very sleek and luxurious looking, a property that Cadillac employs across the board in new and Chicago Cadillac used cars. When you see one coming your way, take notice of the way the roof-line slopes down, as well as the taillights.  They are around 3 feet tall and come together at the roof-line.  Very distinct.  In the front of the auto, the grille is larger and contains the large Cadillac logo.  All of these put together make for a beautiful wagon!

How does it drive?  The CTS wagon comes in 2, v6 engines.  The base is a 3.0 L, 270 HP and the step up gives 304 Hp and is 3.6 L.   Engines of this power will give you that speed and power you  crave, while toting around your family!  It handles well and has great braking capabilities, features that are found in all Chicago CTS cars.  In fact, the CTS can go from 70-0 MPH in 159 ft- wow!  Moreover, the wagon has smooth steering.   The CTS wagon sounds like a vehicle that would be fun to test drive.
