The Chicago CTS is going to be hotter and faster!  The CTS-V coupe was named one of the top 6 autos that is worth waiting for by CNN Money.  This newest Cadillac model was unveiled in L.A. at their November auto show.  There is a lot to say about this model!

The CTS-V coupe will share some of the same features as the V-series sedan.  For example, it will have the supercharged v8 engine that gives 556 hp.  Wow, makes me wanna test drive one right now!  Also, two 6 speed transmissions will be available:   The Tremec TR6060 manual that has a dual disc clutch, or the Hydra-Matic 6L90.  The Hydra-Matic  is automatic and has paddle shifters.  Like the Chicago Escalade, this sounds like another great luxury car produced by GM!

The CTS-V Coupe will have some exterior features that the sedan does not.  The coupe will be a 2-door, somewhat sportier looking model.  Of all the Chicago CTS cars, it has the wider of the rear tracks, one inch to be exact…This is a feature that one may or may not notice, but it’s mentioned several times as being an important feature that makes it coupe-like.  Length wise, it will be about 2 inches shorter than the sedan.  The Chicago CTS will be without B-pillars and traditional door handles.  Instead of the handles, the V-coupe has touch pads that give it a clean look.

Inside the CTS coupe, Cadillac has placed some great amenities.  For example, the leather interior has some hand stitched trim on the door, center console and instrument panel.  Talk about high quality!  Technology wise, The coupe comes with Bose sound system, ipod connectivity, pop-up navigation system and more!  These are features that are also found on other Chicago CTS cars.

It sounds like the Cadillac CTS-V coupe will be a welcome addition to the lineup of Cadillac cars.  I can’t wait to see it parked next to the Chicago Escalade later this year!

The Chicago CTS Sport Wagon has been patterned off of the design that the CTS sedan has.  The sedan has been an extremely popular model for years, so Cadillac designed a version of the CTS that offers the same smooth handling as a sedan, but with the extra cargo space wagons offer.

“It’s a beaut, Clark”, goes the line from one of my personal favorite holiday movies. But in this case my allusion refers not to the Griswold’s copious Christmas light display, but rather the beautiful new CTS coupe. And Clark isn’t anyone I know, but as I said, it’s a favorite and it is December. The Coupe will be available in dealerships spring 2010.   One look at this model, and you’ll want one for yourself!

There are some new amenities/features that will be a part of the new CTS that are different than those found on other Chicago CTS cars.  For example, Cadillac cut a few inches off the roof and added those to the rear track.  The fenders have more flare and the wheels are wider.  Also, the exhaust tips are centered and have a trapezoid-like shape to them. A new Cadillac Chicago will be hitting dealerships next spring.  The CTS Coupe will be in showrooms as a 2011 model.  After a couple years of being sidelined due to changes within General Motors, this sleek styled coupe will be unveiled at the LA auto show.

The photos that have surfaced show a very attractive Chicago CTS.  It is a 2 door-model that has origami shaping.  I think it’s a great looking car I would be tempted to buy.  It will be available in rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive options and the engine is a 3.6-liter V-6, rated at 304 horsepower.   The gas mileage will be around 27 mpg for highway driving, using regular unleaded fuel. 

Some other feature of the coupe are the wire mesh grille, larger brakes, and large tires that can already be found on Chicago CTS cars.  This CTS also received high marks in overall acceleration and handling.  General Motors is reporting that the vehicle can go from 0-60 in just under 4 seconds.  Not too bad for a coupe! 

Also, the Chicago CTS comes with all the standard safety features, such as anti-lock brakes, traction control, and front side and curtain side airbags.  Some of the other standard features that will be available have not been released yet. 

The Cadillac Chicago CTS coupe promises to be a great car.  We’ll be anxiously awaiting it’s arrival next year!

Cadillac is showing off its new sport wagon, hoping to entice drivers in the US to enjoy what many Europeans already do!  The Chicago CTS Wagon has much to offer the driver looking for a classy look with a lot of legroom and unparalleled cargo space for a car of its caliber.

The wagon has a very cool design that, I believe, looks very Caddy-like.  The front grille makes it look very classy and sleek.  Continue Reading…
