Staff training is always an important part of a manager’s job. Making sure staff are professional, knowledgeable and courteous is vital to a business’ success! This is why Cadillac is looking to Ritz-Carlton. The luxury hotel chain uses a professional service to help train its staff to interact and provide service to the more “upscale clientele” that frequent Ritz- Carlton. The staff at a Ritz are known for providing excellent customer service. Thus, Cadillac has decided to bring some reps from that hotel chain in to work with dealership staff.

The goal of Cadillac is to have staff at the dealership treat the potential Chicago XLR owner with luxury service. The staff will be more polished, communicate better, and cater to the client who might be more “affluent”, so to speak.

Cadillac is known for producing many luxury models, such as the Chicago Escalade. Since is was put on the market by Cadillac, this luxury SUV has received many positive reviews…from it’s luxurious interior, to the powerful engine, you really cannot go wrong. The 2010 model comes with a 6.2 Liter, V8 engine, and there’s also the option of buying a Chicago Escalade hybrid if you want.

The XLR is another great option from Cadillac. The 2010 was discontinued, but you might be able to find a new 2009 or even a used model at your Chicago XLR dealership. This is a sporty car that was certainly fun to drive. I was given a chance to drive a 2008 model and loved it!

What do you think of this? Cadillacs are certainly quality, luxury models, you can’t argue that. I understand what Cadillac is trying to do, especially as a former manager of staff in a service organization. But, not every Cadillac owner is as “loaded” as, say, someone that’s able to purchase a BMW, Porsche, Audi, or the like. Sometimes someone who has quite a bit of money doesn’t always “look” like they have a plethora of funds. Will they be catered-to like the clean cut guy who comes dressed in a suit?

I’m closing this blog with some food for thought. Feel free to post your thoughts on our page!

There’s some great news concerning the Chicago DTS. It has been chosen as the most reliable model by J.D. Power and Associates. They recently ran a vehicle dependability study and found it to have the fewest problems of 76 per 100 cars. In fact, JDP has found that in general cars are getting more reliable. Most likely thanks to improvements in materials used, technology, and engineering. 25 out of 36 brands tested have improved their long term durability.

The study measures the problems that owners of three year old (2007) models have had over that time period ownership. It’s cool to discover that 70% of the cars with the lowest incidences are made by Ford and General Motors. They’re doing something right at their plants! What is a bit disturbing is that some luxury models score the highest on the amount of problems. If you are spending that kind of money on a car or SUV, you do not want it to be problematic and unreliable. This is definitely some information to keep in mind when shopping for a new auto!

Back to the Chicago DTS, what makes this car so great? One great incentive to buy a Cadillac is the warranty program. They offer a four-year/50,000-mile warranty on the DTS , as well as 100,000 or 5 year coverage of the sedan’s powertrain. You’ll also get 24/7 Roadside Assistance and Courtesy Transportation for the same time period.

Like the Chicago Escalade and other Cadillac models, the interior of the DTS is made with quality materials. The inside is nice, made with leather, wood, and chrome, but it’s not “obnoxiously nice” to the point where you feel you can’t eat, drink, or make it your own in there. It’s elegant and definitely Cadillac standard, but it is comfortable too! Five people can fit in there with no problem, there’s plenty of adequate seating and cargo room.

The DTS also comes with a powerful V8 engine that gives it 275 HP. It handles and brakes well overall. As a larger sedan, it’s meant more for cruising and a smooth ride, versus a sporty, faster drive that you might get with some other models.

Consider a DTS today. It’s reliable, safe, and a quality sedan. As with the Chicago Escalade, you’ll get that classic Cadillac look and feel, just with a different body type and layout. There’s something at your local Caddy dealer for everyone!

I bought a used Cadillac Escalade Chicago about 8 months ago. I am really happy with it, it’s a 2007 edition, performs well, has a nice interior, and a ton of cargo space. Now, I find out that the 2013 Escalade is in the works and this certainly gets my attention. This luxury SUV, which will hit the lots in about 3 years, will come just around the time I’ll probably be looking for something new….Hmmm!??!

The “full size SUV” area is one that General Motors has focused away from in the past year or so, as they dealt with bankruptcy, fluctuating gas prices, and a bad economy. Well, the sales of these large SUV’s is going up again and GM wants to continue to serve the loyal owners of the Chicago Escalade and other similar vehicles. Thus, they are going forward with new models!

This is certainly good news, because the Esacalde is one great SUV. Since the 2013 won’t be around for a few years yet, there aren’t any “set in stone” facts about this vehicle’s powertrain, interior, exterior and other features. Let’s take a look at what the current model found at your used Cadillac Escalde Chicago dealership brings to the table!

The 2010 Escalade Premium SUV is one option for you. It is engineered with high quality materials both inside and outside the SUV. It features beautiful alloy wheels and the telltale front grille with the logo that screams “Hey, I am a Cadillac”. The interior is made with high quality leather and there is also wood grain in the front dash near the control knobs. Of course, there is a ton of cargo space and third row seating. Watch out, because if you have a Escalade and like to travel with friends, they’ll want you to drive all the time!

The 6.2 L, V8 engine that produces 403 HP is sure to get you moving! The 2010 Chicago Escalade comes with all wheel drive and mode select transmission. A vehicle I would for sure feel safe driving in if I got caught in a winter storm (and here, in the Chi-town area, we certainly have plenty)!

GM is working hard to get things back on track, and the new 2013 Escalade is all part of the plan. For now, I am going to enjoy my model and let the rest take care of itself!

The Chicago CTS is going to be hotter and faster! The CTS-V coupe was named one of the top 6 autos that is worth waiting for by CNN Money. This newest Cadillac model was unveiled in L.A. at their November auto show. There is a lot to say about this model!

The CTS-V coupe will share some of the same features as the V-series sedan. For example, it will have the supercharged v8 engine that gives 556 hp. Wow, makes me wanna test drive one right now! Also, two 6 speed transmissions will be available: The Tremec TR6060 manual that has a dual disc clutch, or the Hydra-Matic 6L90. The Hydra-Matic is automatic and has paddle shifters. Like the Chicago Escalade, this sounds like another great luxury car produced by GM!

The CTS-V Coupe will have some exterior features that the sedan does not. The coupe will be a 2-door, somewhat sportier looking model. Of all the Chicago CTS cars, it has the wider of the rear tracks, one inch to be exact…This is a feature that one may or may not notice, but it’s mentioned several times as being an important feature that makes it coupe-like. Length wise, it will be about 2 inches shorter than the sedan. The Chicago CTS will be without B-pillars and traditional door handles. Instead of the handles, the V-coupe has touch pads that give it a clean look.

Inside the CTS coupe, Cadillac has placed some great amenities. For example, the leather interior has some hand stitched trim on the door, center console and instrument panel. Talk about high quality! Technology wise, The coupe comes with Bose sound system, ipod connectivity, pop-up navigation system and more! These are features that are also found on other Chicago CTS cars.

It sounds like the Cadillac CTS-V coupe will be a welcome addition to the lineup of Cadillac cars. I can’t wait to see it parked next to the Chicago Escalade later this year!

Your future Chicago Escalade may have a subtle, but hopefully noticeable, change: a new logo. The company has not officially released the new emblem, nor have they set a date when it will appear on new vehicles. The new logo looks very nice. It has a more textured effect on both the wreath and crest. It is supposed to be a good representation for its “arts and science ” campaign. The design inside of the crest has a sort of retro feel to it.

Now that Cadillac is revamping its logo, what is up for some of its models? Your Chicago Escalade cars hitting the market for 2010 will have much to offer the potential driver. It is a perfect full size SUV for the large family, or for the driver who needs to transport a lot of stuff. In fact, this model ranks 1 out of 11 in the Luxury Large SUV category. It also has a powerful 6.2 liter V8 engine that comes with a feature called cylinder deactivation. What this means is that four cylinders will shut down when they are not needed, which saves on fuel costs.

Furthermore the Chicago Escalade has received high marks on its overall Performance, Interior, Exterior, and Reliability tests. It is a great vehicle that is worth the test drive if you are in the market for a new SUV.

Check out your local dealer to see this model and other amazing used Cadillac Chicago models.
