Now that Cadillac is revamping its logo, what is up for some of its models? Your Chicago Escalade cars hitting the market for 2010 will have much to offer the potential driver. It is a perfect full size SUV for the large family, or for the driver who needs to transport a lot of stuff. In fact, this model ranks 1 out of 11 in the Luxury Large SUV category. It also has a powerful 6.2 liter V8 engine that comes with a feature called cylinder deactivation. What this means is that four cylinders will shut down when they are not needed, which saves on fuel costs.

Furthermore the Chicago Escalade has received high marks on its overall Performance, Interior, Exterior, and Reliability tests. It is a great vehicle that is worth the test drive if you are in the market for a new SUV.

Check out your local dealer to see this model and other amazing used Cadillac Chicago models.

There is some great news for current and potential owners of the Chicago SRX. This Cadillac model was recently named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Not just any car or SUV can be receive this accomplishment. The institute does side and rear tests and the vehicle must also have an electronic stability control. After testing these areas, the institute rates the vehicles, and those who are on the highest rating of “Good” are given the Safety Pick award. As a parent of a small child, I have a great interest in vehicles that safely transport my family from Point A to Point B, especially in the approaching winter months!

What are some of the safety features on this SRX and other Used Cadillac Chicago SRX’s? First of all, the vehicle has excellent brakes. Perfect in a situation where you might be transporting children to soccer practice and the car in front of you decides to break and turn without using turning indicators! Moreover, this Chicago SRX has improved all-wheel drive, helping it keep constant contact with the road. A feature that is very important during that rush-hour drive home in the snow!

The vehicle also boasts plenty of airbag positioning to keep driver and passengers safe in the event of an accident. Aside from the standard driver and front passenger airbags, there are also a front side airbags and side head curtain airbags. Also, if you visit your local Chicago Cadillac Dealer and purchase this great SUV, it will also come with a one year subscription of On Star, a great safety feature. The SRX also has a feature that allows for vehicle theft tracking and notification.

This 2010 Chicago SRX model is obviously a very safe vehicle and is a great choice for transporting a group of 5. There is plenty of room for storing everything from suitcases to skateboards!! Anyone who visits their Chicago Cadillac Dealer for a test drive will certainly not be disappointed!

The Chicago Cadillac CTS has been rated as the full-size car with the best resale value by Kelly Blue Book, which is significant given its affordability as a new car.

Not only does the CTS pay off for owners who sell their cars after a few years, it pays off for buyers who purchase those pre-owned CTS models. Any Cadillac CTS Chicago owner knows this. That’s why you find so many buyers flocking to new and used Cadillac Chicago dealers to purchase this car.

From Cadillac’s press release:

While most car buyers today consider sticker price one of the most significant numbers when choosing a new vehicle, the editors at Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com recommend that shoppers consider a number they won’t find today on any window sticker: its resale value. Depreciation often is the greatest expense incurred by drivers during the first five years of vehicle ownership. An average vehicle will only retain about 35 percent of its original value after a five-year ownership period, meaning that a $50,000 new car today will only be worth somewhere close to $17,500 after five years. Vehicles with average or below-average resale values are generally plentiful in the marketplace and easy to find, such as models found in rental fleets. But certain vehicles are projected to hold their value better than others. While much of a vehicle’s resale value is based on supply and demand as well as current and projected future market conditions, vehicles that maintain their value best are quality-built and generate consumer enthusiasm.

Vehicle shoppers should take several factors into consideration when buying a new car to ensure as much future value as possible. Certain features available on new vehicles today will be desirable by a majority of used-car buyers three to five years down the road, and these features will help the vehicle maintain more of its original value than if they were absent. First, car-buyers should choose a popular exterior color such as silver, white, gray or black. Then, car-buyers should choose optional equipment that is customary for the type of vehicle they are buying. For instance, if you are buying a luxury sedan choose automatic transmission versus a manual transmission. Equipment and options that are popular with a broad spectrum of used-vehicle buyers include antilock brakes (ABS), alloy wheels, audio system with MP3/iPod compatibility, power-operated leather-covered seats, cruise control, remote locking and navigation system.

I’ve always tried to preach resale value, but usually that involves buying practical, less stylish cars. But Cadillac CTS Chicago owners know this car is the sporty, stylish solution to that problem. It is practical and extremely stylish.

Given how well the CTS retains its value, used Cadillac Chicago dealers have a lot of pre-owned CTS models that are excellent options for buyers wanting a used car that is reliable and marketable.

I really fell in love with the design of the Cadillac Provoq concept when I blogged about it recently. I wondered why the company had not applied the very design-forward body to a vehicle currently on the market. Now my questions are answered. The 2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover takes on almost all of the design of the Provoq concept. This really qualifies as a total overhaul of the SRX model. The main design difference between the SRX and the Provoq is the grille, which is more traditional in concept and in line with recent Cadillac design language than the Provoq grille that was designed to open and close according to cooling needs.

I find the design very robust in looks while keeping the look of a tight, organized profile. In the end, this gives a new look to car shoppers in the crossover segment. The lines moving along the sides of the body help the visual concept and lead the eye in a natural way to the angular front of the vehicle. This makes the SRX look very quick and appealing to me.

2010 Cadillac SRX interior

The inside of this vehicle is clean and sleek. It sports great angles and a look very much the same as the Provoq’s interior. The SRX will have a pop-up navigation like the one the Cadillac CTS received and an electronic parking brake activated by a switch on the console. The brake switch adds a nice amount of room in the footwell for added driving comfort, especially during those long trips that require frequent leg adjusting. As someone with long legs, I appreciate the gesture.

I can definitely see myself in this updated version of the SRX. It has a much cooler stance and a more-directed artistic ambiance. Cadillac is going for an artistry in this model that embodies “layers of texture,” which they exemplified by making the Cadillac crest logo on the grille three dimensional. The layer effect overall gives the SRX that coveted illusion of jumping out from road.

The three-dimensional redesigned Cadillac shield logo

The 2010 Cadillac SRX will provide a choice of two V6 engines. The new base engine is a 3.0L version with direct injection, which comes in at 260 horsepower. Buyers looking for greater muscle will opt for the 2.8L V6 with a turbocharger, granting 300 horsepower.

Patrick Cadillac will have a 2010 Cadillac SRX Chicago inventory this summer, when I will inevitibly beg them to let me drive one.
